Just read the article on the main site:


Given that these MacBooks might come to market in the second half of 2021, and the proximity to when we normally see a refresh in the A series chips, the A15 in this case, what are the chances that these new MacBooks will be based on the next generation of M series chips, M2 and not an enhanced version of the M1?

I feel if they had a release date of Spring 2021, they would use an enhanced M1, but given the later date I feel we'll see an M2.

Guys like him said an iMac and the plain MacBook would come out this year. They couldn’t even predict with inside sauces that the Mac mini M1 would be out first even though it’s almost the same as the dev kit. Ignore them.

Call me greedy, but I bought an M1 MBA now fully planning to trade it in for the 14.1" MBP when it comes out later next year.

But we'll see what the 14.1 has in store. I might end up sticking with the MBA.

this RUMOUR is stupid imo...its not rumoured, but EXPECTED by anyone....
apple releasing new hardware majority of times second half each year :)

so he just rumoured what everyone knows already
