Hi
Working on Parents Mac over the weekend and decided to update it to the New OS.
Performed complete backup of their data to external HDD then reset to Factory default OSX yosemite. ( due to system not running very well as they are not completely IT Literate, But pretty good for 80 and 75 years old).
Updated to El Capitan and setup my fathers user account ok.
When adding my mother as a second user via user and groups then trying to log on with her details it took an absolute age to get to the desktop, Initially thought it was just the first time set up lag. but it is still the same after several logins. Her account is also unable to see the primary HDD in normal view and have to go into it via System Preferences to copy her data back to her profile. She was setup as Admin rights as well.
After several hours eventually deleted her account. And have been looking on forums for inspiration as to why this is happening. so far no luck
ANY Ideas?
