Hi, I have never developed a IPhone app before, so excuse me if this sounds a little juvenile ...
I work for a High End Activities Club in Canada.
We have been recently asked if we could look into creating a IPhone app to access our internal booking/information system.
The Idea sounds really kool, but also very restrictive, as our information needs to be kept strictly secure.
What we would like to be able to do is have members sign-up for club events, dinner arraignments ... etc
Plus give them the opportunity to see what events are going on and status of activities.
I guess the question I have is .. do we have to supply this app through the App store or can we just have it installed onto an IPhone through another method ??
This app is only for our members and needs to be secure.

I am sure it can be .. I just need confirmation from someone who knows !!

Sincerely,

Paul J.

As a business you could distribute it to all of your devices in the company with the $299 corporate developer program. But has your business thought of a secure web client optimized for the iphone?

It is not for us, it is for our members, so I am not sure if a corporate client would work here ...
No, this is the first I have really heard about our members wanting to access our system externally (via a IPhone)
We do have a website that allows them do do all of this, but would like to see what our options are for IPhone/BB access from remote locations ..
What are my choices for secure web clients ?? as I could try them out and see if this fits our bill...

thx

P.
