Secure tunneling for internet, usenet??

I'm trying to setup SSH for surfing and newsreading through secure tunnel(SSH) I know Panther comes with an SSH program (Open SSH) but all the stuff I can find out about it on the web are real teach-speak and use lots of Terminal, and most of it concerns FTP and remote-login configurations.
I already subscribe to an SSH client through a Windows computer and access it via a program called Putty. Nothing as simple and easy to use as this seems to be available for Panther. Or am I mistaken??
Anyone out there know of a stable, easy-to-use and configure program that can act as a graphical interface to the SSH capabilities installed on Mac?

Thanks for the tip, but...

Well I discovered that I can set up a secure tunnel via a few simple Terminal lines of instructions, but still face the problem of how to configure my browser and newsreader to access this secure tunnel. Seems there's few programs out there for Mac that act as an easy front-end graphical interface with both the remote SSH server and the apps on the Mac that need to access this secure route to the server. But again, thanks, sourceforge is a good site.

I just tried to access secure tunnel with Opera browser but still not working. in other words I follow their config suggestions to the letter, and then even try some other possibilities, but still not able to access the web thru this tunnel. I need to use the ssh protocol versus the ssl which is mainly used for emails/text data, whereas ssh is used for secure tunnels to usenet or internet, replacing telnet, and other web protocols. Hogwasher is a program I'll be installing for newsreading, but it too like Opera has essentially the same set up configs as Hogwasher so I don't think I'll get too far right now with all that.
I know I can purchase an app ($100 per year) that will set up the ssh connection thru their servers (Secure-Tunnel Manager) but the thing is I just purchased a year subscription to my current ssh remote server so I'm trying to avoid putting out more bucks on this. OS-x has got to be able to do this without having to use command line in Terminal every time?? If not, then someone should put out the software that can make this relatively easy.

Tunneling is quite easy once you understand how it works.

Really there is no reason to tunnel web traffic unless you don't want an employer/spouse/gf to know what you are surfing. It doesn't encrypt your web session between your proxy and the web server of the site you are requesting, thats left for SSL. So if you really must stick it to the man...

I thought you could open Terrminal, then click the Connect menu to access an SSH session. I've never used it, since I just do it from the command line though. Might be worth checking out.
