I know this is old news but I could care less if my email address was exposed it contains no personal information about me. What are they gonna do, spam me? People act like someone got a hold of credit card numbers.

For most people that is true. Most of my email addresses are, more or less, visible on the internet. However - I also have a couple of email addresses I reserve just for some clients, and family. When a message pops into that mailbox it gets immediate attention..... if its family it might be immediately ignored, but I've read it ....

I could set up rules to flag known senders, but it's just easier for me to hand out a business card with this address to people whom I want to hear from.

I'm guessing that many people on the leaked list have (sorry, had) similar email addresses. The public their profile, the more important to them have a private email address that doesn't go through their admin assistant/PR department/IT system etc etc

More than just emails were compromised. Sufficient information was compromised to allow a hacker who is willing to do a little work to take over or spoof your iPad's sim card IMEI and become your iPad to Att's network for a while. If that isn't scary, I don't know what is.

There is even a move afoot to force Att to provide new micro sim cards to all the users whose data were compromised. You can be pretty sure Obama's staff had theirs replaced on the first day.

Put your noose and torch away. We should commend this guy for exposing such a huge security flaw, in which he could've easily kept quiet and exploited for his personal gain. Imagine someone with a more malicious intent finding this security flaw, doubt they'd make it known.

Instead of just informing Apple or AT&T directly about the "huge security flaw" he opted for self-promotion. What a guy.
