Hi all,

I was searching the net for my problem, but cannot find anything similar or a solution.

So here it is:

1. My phone is protected by passcode, enforced by my company's exchange and it cannot be turned off unless you have that cydia thing that can disable it, but anyway i want to have passcode on my phone.

2. Passcode is set to be required immediately !

3. Phone is locked and the screen is black.

4. I double click home button and then tap on camera button which opens the camera app.

5. I click the home button again and boom i'm on the home screen, no passcode asked and the phone is unlocked and fully functional.

6. So, how can this be possible !?!?!

The phone model is 3GS, and firmware is IOS5 GM, jailbroken with redsn0w 0.9.9 b4.

Non jailbroken iPhone 4 here. This works as it should. I can get to camera, but from the camera if I hit the home button, I'm dumped to the lock screen.

I have the same pass code requirement. I cannot reproduce the OP's problem.
If I hit the home button from the camera or click the album button from the camera, I'm asked for the pass code.

I was able to duplicate it. Maybe the OP just mention the wrong steps.

1) double tap home button on lock screen.

2) press camera icon

3) press the preview photos icon at the bottom left, it will take you to the photo app but will not let you view any photos taken before it locked, only photos you just took ...... Or if you didn't just take a photo, a message about the phone being locked will show.

4) from that screen, press home. Nothing happened for me at first until I press it multiple times and found myself in the home screen.

EDIT: OK, never mind I'm stupid.
I didn't realize I was trying it out too soon, forgot I have my settings for passcode after 1min. After that 1min I can't get to the home screen without passcode showing up.

This might apply to you too OP ^^^^^^^

Are you jailbroken?
I can't reproduce it at all. I'm on a 3GS just like the OP but non-jailbroken.

Edit: Saw your edit :p
