Hi there,
My parents only has a 5GB internet data cap, as they don't use the internet much - which suits them fine. Mum has come crying to me because the printer wasn't working, so she decided to do a software update and just update everything (there was a printer update, a Mountain Lion update, and an iPhoto update). What she didn't realise is that they totalled 2GB, which obviously eats a large chunk into their 5GB data cap. She "hates" how Apple doesn't show the file size before you start downloading, so she knows what updates are small, and what are large.
Is there some way she can view an update size before downloading, OR, is there some way I can download the updates on my computer (from the Apple website?) and put it on a USB and then she can install them? Does anyone know if Maverick's shows the file size before downloading?
Thanks.
