Hi. Seefile 2.0 was just released at PMA last week. Seefile is an instant on-line photo-sharing client communication tool which allows easy communication between clients and the photographer. Photographers can upload their images instantly (handles multiple images types) for clients
to view and even specify which clients access which folders. The
administrator/photographer (you) can even tailor what different clients
see by adding a customized logo to the upper left hand corner. Clients can
easily post comments on their photos or order prints directly from you, no
need to burn and send CD's. This is an easy to use software which takes
minutes to install. Seefile is selling the software in a Mac mini bundle for $995. Check out the press release at to find out about the newest improvements http://www.pdnonline.com/pdn/prodtech/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002073484
or go to http://www.seefile.com

How is this different then simply putting your photos on the web?

OK you don't want to share the photos with the world, just a few people.
then use an .htaccess file and make the web pages password protected

This seems to be a collaborative method for the photographer and client to communicate over jobs.

Tried it, and it seems that some functions have been disabled (understandable) - like deleting files.

The cost of the program and support indicates that this is aimed at the high-end user. On that iWeb and other similar programs are not aimed at.

Since Marilina is a newbie, I am suspecting that this is a guerilla marketing stunt. Given this is the one and only post so far.

The quick look at the test site leaves me wanting in many ways. Nice idea, but costs and ease of use leaves a lot to be desired.
