Seeking app or solution for GPS custom treasure hunt

I am trying to put together a multi-location treasure hunt for my wife for our anniversary and am searching for either a specialized app for doing so or a method using any of the mapping apps. Ideally, I would like to enter the latitude and logitude of the sequential locations, with a clue, then have the phone gps system indicate directionally which way to walk toward the next stop in the sequence but without revealing the destination itself. Perhaps also displaying a general distance indicator (like very far, far, close, etc.) Sort of a warmer/colder thing with the gps as the indicator.

I tried the app Scavenger Hunt Deluxe, but it does not seem to have this functionality. I have also searched the app store but come up dry.

Any help would be appreciated!

People do this as a hobby, its called geocaching.
