iPhone Seeking help to create navigation shortcuts

Hello all, I have been searching for a while now and can't come up with anything. I remember from my Android phones being able to add a shortcut to directions on the home screen. It was basically an icon that loaded google maps and automatically started the turn by turn simply by clicking the custom icon/shortcut on the desktop.

Does anyone know if a tweak exist? Can someone guide to more info on this? Thanks!

As far as I know, Apple only allows webclips to be added to the home screen

Does anyone else know more about navigation shortcuts? I wish I was a dev so I could implement this. Maybe I will learn over this summer in between class.
