I got my 42mm SS BSB and (any regular readers of my posts will be astonished by this) I'm actually happy with it! The black sports band is so much better (to my eyes) than the white which I originally had.

I also bought a Milanese loop. It looked terrific in the box, but I didn't like it in the box. It's going back.

So my options are:

1. Be happy with what I've got, shut up and go away.

2. Buy a leather loop: almost certainly a blue one. Any pictures (particularly of what it looks like from the back: the fold-over part looks a bit chunky and maybe uncomfortable) would be very gratefully received.

3. Mortgage my house and get an SS Link strap.

Advice/comments/pictures are much welcome.

Get the blue leather loop. It will dress up the watch for occasions where you want that, and won't require a credit approval and hours of signing your name. If it arrives and you don't like it, you can return it.

You could also check your local store to see if they have any for you to try on.

The loop is far from chunky from any angle. I have 3 loops (and a compulsive shopping habit), the medium brown, black and bright blue. They are so comfortable and I prefer them to the sport band.

Why not consider the Stone LL, it has a nice classic look. Goes well with casual and dressy clothes.

Get some Apple Watch strap adapters for $15 on Amazon or eBay and start exploring the hundreds of thousands of aftermarket straps and bracelets out there. Not only will you be able to find precisely what you want but you will save hundreds as well. For the 42mm Watch with adapters you can choose from any 22 or 24mm aftermarket strap or bracelet as long as it has straight ends at the case. Obviously those that are curved at the case to fit round watches will not work. But luckily the vast majority have straight ends.

I have been collecting traditional watches for many years and have amassed a large collection of steel, leather, rubber, and nylon straps for my watches and all of the 22-24mm ones work with my Apple Watch.

To get started check out places like strapcode.com or panatime.com. I recommend the SuperEngineer series 316L stainless steel bracelets from Strapcode. And there is a large selection on Amazon as well.

LOL. I don't think there are over 100,000 aftermarket options out there yet.

Having mulled over your collective wisdom, I've ordered both a black classic buckle and a black leather loop. They're due to be delivered on Tuesday. I'm not planning on keeping both, but I accept that I need to see (and feel) them in real life. Going to an Apple Store isn't a particularly easy option.

I also have the classic buckle and the leather loop and I'm curious which you will prefer. I think the classic buckle is more comfortable but the adjustable sizing is a big advantage of the loop.
