On iPadOS 26, when I go full brightness, it’s much more dim. I mean, I have that cranked all the way up! I even turned off automatic adjustments. Anyone else seeing this? I haven’t found any settings that might make a difference.

The same thing happened to me. It's because the "reduce white point" option is enabled in accessibility. Try disabling it and the brightness will return to what it was before.

The problem I'm having now is that whenever the device locks, the brightness always goes to 100%. I've already opened a ticket with Apple
 
Also this beta is poorly optimized and the iPad is very warm quite frequently witch result in lower brightness to prevent the battery while it’s too hot but the screen will go bright again when it’s cooling down.
