I am new to any OS above Mountain Lion and loved the feature of drag-selecting multiple messages in Mac Mail. But I can't seem to do that anymore in High Sierra. Is there a way of recovering that feature?
[doublepost=1534975474][/doublepost]One way of achieving a similar result is by holding Shift and hovering over the emails you want to select, then click and they will all select. But I still prefer the drag-select trick, mainly because you can see as your selecting.

in macOS High Sierra mac Mail, all it takes to select multiple email is either to:
Shift+mouse tap 1st message, then, continuing to hold Shift, tap the last message you want to select.
or
Shift+arrow down selecting each continuous mail.

if you want to select multiple non-contiguous mail then
Command+select each separate email to form your ad-hoc group.

any of the above ways works and allows you to then drag your group of mail to any mail folder etc.

Yes, I know that. I stated that in my original post. The point is, the old way was better because you didn't have to hold down shift at any point.
