Hello,

Running High sierra.

Have a Folder with a bunch of normal text files in it.

If I want to "select," e.g. the first 20 of them, or so,
I remember that the way of doing it is to simply hold down the Shift key on the keyboard
and click on the first and the last selected.

Then, all 20 would be highlighted, and you could do a COPY, and Paste them somewhere else.

This method of selecting does not seem to work (anymore).
If i click on the first, fine. Or any other. But only that single one gets highlighted.

But i cannot highlight and select a whole bunch.

What might I, as usual, be doing wrong ?
Or,...?

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Click on the first file ... then shift-click on the last file ... all of the files should then be hi-lighted.
Don't use the shift key with the first file selected.

To individually select (or de-select) individual non-sequential files simply command-click on each file desired.

If this isn't working for you, verify that your shift key is actually working (edit something)
