Apologies for the rather simple question, but i cant believe i can't find the answer to this one.

Im using Indesign and need to select many individual words within a text box for formatting i.e. change the word spacing - how can you highlight separate pieces of text at once and change the formatting in one go- rather than formatting each one separately?

Many thanks!

You cannot select multiple non-consecutive pieces of text. The best option would be to set up a character style with all of the formatting changes you need. Then you can highlight each one (individually, sorry) and either use cmd-return, or even better, set up a keyboard shortcut, to get your character style.

At least, that's how I would do it.

Yeah, thats kinda the conclusion i've reached....it just seems such a simple and really useful function to include...thought i was missing something!

Thanks all the same!
