Hi,

my iPhone is acting wierd and restoring it and bringing back my stuff from a backup doesn't seem to help. The phone works well just after a restore. I would like to do a clean install but keep some things from the backup (mainly sms messages and notes). I know I could use Chronus to backup and restore just the sms and notes but jailbreaking my phone again would conflict with the "cleaning" idea.

So, my question is: is there a way to backup only some things? Or manipulate the backed up files to leave only the things I'm interested in?

I'm currently on 3.0 GM.

Any advice?

Bump :)

I'd also like to know the same thing. I did a jailbreak on my phone a while ago and then undid it but I forgot to do things like change my carrier name in MIM etc.. So I would like to do a full clean restore.. except re-import my sms messages again :)

Thanks.
