I have an iPhone 6s and an iPad mini. Both are currently on iOS 12, but this is a long standing problem:
There is one coffee shop that I frequent that has very good WiFi. Trouble is, most of the time both my iPhone and iPad can't get an IP address via DHCP and instead end up with a self-assigned IP address (169.xxx.xxx.xxx).
I see other patrons busily working on their Apple, Samsung, Toshiba, etc., devices. I've asked around and no one seems to have a problem connecting.
Only me and my two Apple devices.
I've tried restarting, resetting network settings, etc. Nothing helps.
Only me and only at this one coffee shop. Any ideas?
