Self-Destructing iMessages?

MacRumors posted this article yesterday, featuring a screenshot of a self-destructing text message in the iOS Messages app.

I know iOS 8 introduced self-destructing audio messages but this appears to be a plain text message. — Does anyone know how to enable this feature?

Check out the iMessage app called Confide mentioned in this article over at AppleInsider. Saw it the other day and remember the article saying it had self-destruct messages.

self destructing messages? interesting.. does it really remove it though, when both parties have read it. Or does it actually stay on the apple servers?

None of the iMessages stay on Apple'a servers.
