Hello,

thinking about upgrading the RAM in 3 towers. Wondering what the consequences would be as it relates to AppleCare if I were to install it myself.

Or should I simply have a certified tech install it?

Thanks,

ed

Upgrading RAM does not void your AppleCare, unless you damage something. Obviously, the self-installed RAM is not covered by AppleCare.

Anything your manual shows you is a user serviceable part and does not void the warranty. Anything not discussed or shown, you should check on prior to performing. Some things are OK, some are not.
