Anyone tried setting one of these up in order to access GSX site. I recently got my Acmt certification for Apple and was thinking about getting on with Ssa or just starting my own work from home type of deal. I would love to be apple to work on and repair apple products. Hope someone may have tired or at least point me in the right direction.

I'm the admin (and sole technician) for ours at work. AFAIK one of the requirements is a relatively large installed base of in warranty Macs. i.e. Self servicing accounts are really aimed at organizations with large Mac deployments to help expedite service by bypassing AppleCare troubleshooting/repairs.

With that said, you might look into the Apple Consultants Network. It's aimed more at Mac centric IT work but there may be a way for you to offer onsite service for repairs. I think this is typically held back for AASPs but your mileage may vary.
