so i just got my Dell u2412m for my dual monitor set up.

i am absolutely in love with it...specifically the matte screen.

so much so that i am thinking about selling my ACD and copping another one.

right now i have the dell connected via dvi-hdmi and the ACD miniDP-TB

i believe i could get an adapter for the 2nd Dell and connect it via miniDP-TB..correct?

is there any reason i should consider keeping my ACD?

any performance issues using two Dell monitors with the mac mini?

edit: forgot to mention that i use my setup for graphic and web design

I'm planning to do the same with my 24" ACD. Just need to catch the Dell u2412m monitors on sale.

Dells are terrible. Do not buy.

The Dell Ultrasharps are hands down equal if not better than Apple's TBDs, at about 50% of their price.

The only two pros for the TBD are its looks and the TB port. Dell's pros are more connectivity, a non-glossy screen, (depending on the model) better calibration and the included on-site warranty.

Great decision. I doubt you'll regret it. Bought my second u2412m about a month after getting the first one. That was in August. Love 'em.

Are you guys using hdmi to dvi or hdmi to mdp adapter for the 2nd monitor? Any probs e.g. Lag time between two displays, flicker, etc.?

I love my 2412 and def want another.

Dell and Apple use some of the same panels - You honestly wont know the difference. I am a photographer and have dual 24 inch dell Ultrasharps and they are a fraction the price of one cinema display.

You can get it on Dell refurbed for aroun 250 bucks a piece shipped.
