I got the 16 Pro Max from the 15 Pro on launch day. The screen and battery is so good.

But, after a month, I realized that I spent so much on this phone, I got 512gb of storage, since I only use 30gb. And because there are hardly ever a big difference between this years 16 Pro and Pro Max besides the screen and battery.

Plus, the size is starting to put more strain and fatigue on my wrists.

I want to get the Pro, but I’m afraid of selling 16 Pro Max on Swappa, eBay and back market, due to possible scammers.

Should I just keep this phone and deal with the weight or just sell it?

Swappa is typically great and you should have no problem finding a buyer.

I mean, that's not a bad idea, but I am afraid of being scammed. It would be my first time selling such an expensive phone to a stranger. Not sure what their intentions would be if I were to come across such bad luck tbh.

Make up your own mind. No one can help you. I genuinely don’t understand posts like this. Your money, your life, your choice.

Edit: and judging by one or two of your other posts, you are looking for any excuse to get rid, so there is your answer.
Yeah, I understand. I just would like an opinion.

There isn't a better option aside from selling in person to someone you know. It's safe, I've sold over 30 phones on there over the years.

Since you are already past the return window, then I'd suggest keeping it awhile longer to see if you can get used to the size and weight. If in another month or two you still want to change to a Pro then you can sell it then. I've had a few good experiences with Swappa but I know its a risk.

You'll likely lose money in this transaction so nothing will be gained by selling and switching to Pro if getting something cheaper is your primary motivation. At this point, the only reason I'd switch is if the size was driving you nuts to the point where its a daily annoyance.

Strange mindset ….

If you go to Apple Store and tell them why be honest that it hurts your hand they like they will allow you to exchange it 30 days out.. don’t listen to a lot of these naysayers. These forums are to get opinions and gather opinions.

I wonder how many more people will buy the 16PM only to find out that its entirely too big or too heavy.
