I made this design, intended to print 2.5" and 5" round vinyl decals, about two years ago, and got a bunch of decals made and have sold a fair amount of them(probably made $200-$300 profit from them).

There are some complications to selling them, because most forums want me to buy a vendor membership, and I don't make enough money off of these to justify a $70 or $150 membership on each forum I'm on.

I didn't spend days on the design or anything, but spent 3-5 hours on each design due to me being a perfectionist.

I have been offered to sell it to a local offroad shop, that wants to buy 1 of my 3 designs. They are vendors on all the forums that it'd be easy to sell these on, and I'm sure they will sell well.

I'd be selling them the design, in a high quality .ai or .eps file(s) able to print the different size decals.

I'm just curious what you guys think something like this would be worth, considering I didn't design this specifically to sell to another company?

Here's the design:

I would have thought it depends on how much people are willing to pay for the decal and how much it costs for the shop to have them made. There going to want to make money out of them aswell! Have you tried selling them on eBay or sites like that? Could make you some money without paying the high subscription costs!! :)

I'm aware most people don't get the message, it's sort of an inside(the Jeep world) joke.

Newer Jeeps comes with "Trail Rated" badges, but most of them will never see anything other than pavement. So it's just a joke in the Jeep world that our Jeeps are "Mall Rated", even though most of them get taken offroad regularly. Cherokee and Grand Cherokees were not really designed to be off-road machines, and we make them off-road machines.

It's just the kind of thing that people see and go "Hey that's funny, where'd you get that from?"

Does that clarify the message a bit?

I sell them for $7.60 each for the large ones and $4.40 each for the small ones. I have sold a few on eBay, but not enough to warrant the additional cost to use eBay, and the hassle associated with it. They always sell well on forums, but I always get cut off and told to buy a vendor membership, and these forums are where these things sell, where people get the joke.

sicck sticker, i don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but i was trying to look at the stickies, but what program can you use to create something like that? like a sticker and print it out.

It was created in Illustrator, saved as a .eps, and then the printer at the vinyl shop turned the .eps into what it needed to cut the proper paths on the vinyl.

ah, i see..i take it that illustrator is in photoshop..

They are actually two separate programs. Illustrator is more for creating images from scratch using vectors. It really is more for people who want to create vinyls and graphics.

Photoshop is more for photo manipulation, and making new things from previously existing images, and making them your own.

Or at least that is how I use the two programs.

Back on topic, I think it is a great sticker, and understood it right away. I would buy one if I had a Jeep, but then again, I also would take it off roading (if I couldn't afford something better).
