So I got the 3G iPad and am selling my wifi version to a friend. Is there something I should do, other than wiping it, to be sure he has no road blocks to setting it up?

In other words, iTunes won't bark at him because the iPad is registered under my ID will it?

I don't think so. But, if you report your iPad stolen, when the thief plugs it in to iTunes, they will have a kernel panic. :p

< r0k snickers as he wonders how long this urban legend will persist... ;) >

The only two areas I've noticed that keep track of a particular iPad is the MobileMe tracking feature and the Kindle app. Both of those track each and every iPad associated with your accounts. You can easily remove old devices from your list though.

Thanks for the replies. This is obviously a great place to come for Apple knowledge. It just enhances the products to have good user communities like this available...
