I'm selling my old iPhone 2G on eBay and I've already jailbroke it and unlocked it but I was wondering if putting some apps on there will make the resale value higher and what are the ramifications of doing that? Is there anyway for them to get my username? I've paid probably over $100 for apps so I'm hoping that will increase resale but I don't want to risk my iTunes account being hacked.

Thanks for any recommendations!

When an update is released, the App Store will prompt them to enter your password to your account. Your email will be clearly visible as they are attached to the app regardless of staying logged in.

That's what I was thinking but I saw a number of people selling theirs w/ apps on them so I was wondering if there was some way to avoid that.

Thanks

I wouldn't. Those apps have your Apple ID pinged to them. If anyone wished to update them, it'll have to go through your ID. They won't but it'll pop up your email..... and I don't think others having my email is a good thing.

Definitely do not leave anything but the standard apps that come with the phone on there. You don't want the phone attached to your account/email address once you sell it. Especially to someone you don't know.

I just sold my 2G on craigslist for $150 even with a cracked screen and no USB cable. That seems to be the going rate here in CO.
