I'll be selling my iMac in upcoming weeks to cover the majority of the costs of a new Macbook Pro for school. I had bought the iMac not thinking of how hard it would be to take with me to school and how not having a laptop could be a bad idea. It's the 27" (2.66 i5, 4GB, ATI 4850) with no screen yellowing, I think it's like week 8 or something. I had bought it not long ago so it's like new.
Some questions:
1) In my research, it seems these typically fetch around $1500 on ebay. What would you guys consider the average selling point or what I should expect to get from the sale?
2) How would I go about shipping this thing? I still have my iMac box with the four styrofoam "corner pieces" in the box, but I wouldn't trust that to get across the country.
Basically I'm looking for logistical advice before going through with the sale. Please do not delete this thread, I'm just trying to get some advice before selling.
