Selling my iMac G5 iSight..

I'd like to upgrade to the 20" Intel, what do you think is a decent price to sell?

Specs:

17" iMac G5 1.9 Ghz iSight
1.5 GB RAM. Bought 1GB from Datamem just 2 weeks ago.

This machine is in mint condition, in a non smoker enviroment and bought it in November 05. I'm located in Orlando, FL.

This is really sad, but it seems like you'd be lucky to get $700 for it (checking out eBay's buyers). I was disappointed with the resale of my PB right after the MBs were released, that's why I didn't trade up to either the MB or MBP. Good luck with your sale though. That's an awesome computer.

Well, since you can buy a 17" 1.83GHz Core Duo iMac from Apple's refurbished store for $1,099- I would say that a fair value for your 17" 1.9GHz iMac G5 would be about ~$850-$975 the going rate for your machine. The RAM might help it sell for a little more.

Sadly, it is no joke- the release of Intel based Macs has done a number on the going prices for PowerPC based Macs.

Keep your G5 until you NEED to upgrade. As in, can no longer do what you need to do with your G5.
