anything else i should do besides reinstall osx?
i dont want anything to be on it.

Make sure that you clean it before you sell it. And double check that you have everything that you're selling it with, with the MacBook.

yea, but anything else i should do to protect from getting any credit card numbers, etc

Once you format the hard drive and reinstall OS X, then it will be practically impossible for the new owner to get anything at all from before the hard drive was formatted.
