and now that you've been selling thru them for awhile, what do you think? satisfied? thrilled? hardly worth the effort?
Basically good overall. The quality of the t-shirts is seriously good although you don't get quite the same "ink-feel" as you might from a screenprinted t-shirt, it's really flexible and in no way like an iron-on transfer or the cheap t-shirt places. Having unlimited colours is great as well. I've got no problems with the actual product at all, it's great.
As far as making money goes, if you want to make serious money there's little point relying on the site to promote as I don't get the feeling the community is that big yet. If you look at it more like your own little store that you have to promote yourself you'll have more luck and sell a few more. Just don't expect something like Threadless, where there's hundreds of people waiting for new t-shirts to come out. You need to do your own legwork.
The worst side of it is the time it takes to arrive. One of my friends said it took four weeks, which is too long really. That's been the biggest complaint from people I know who've bought them, and that's the thing that's making me tempted to try other suppliers.
Other small things are things like I think having to create an account and faff about verifying emails puts buyers off. I also don't feel like the design of the site is that professional - it's a bit studenty and busy looking, and there's a lot of things that don't line up or look a bit sloppy.
The customer service is good in that they get back to you really quickly, but it's usually been to sort out some mistakes or problems I've had which shouldn't really have happened in the first place. To their credit, they've been really friendly and quick and helpful to sort it out though.
I think overall they seem as if they grew really quickly and are a bit overstretched by a lot of it. I suspect it'll be something that will be brilliant when they get a bit bigger, but for the moment it's a little bit rough round the edges.
