Yahoo! Maybe some of the studios are realizing that retailers like Wal-Mart shouldn't tell us how we can buy and rent stuff. I still like to purchase movies that I want to keep on DVD and Blu-ray, but Apple TV is the bomb for rentals, especially in HD. The only drawback is it takes a few hours to download an HD movie, but I can deal with it.

Anybody else jazzed that maybe this is a trend and not an anomaly?

Apple has recently signed a new deal with the major studios that allow the release on itunes the same day as the movie is released on DVD. In the past there was a 30 day window against DVD.

@adrianseto true they signed a deal but that was to sell Movies on a same day DVD release not rent that is still 30 days (Anyone feel free to correct me as I can be wrong (Only human LoL)')

but i noticed semipro is availbale for rent on ATV now... or has it been up there for sale first for 30 days?
