Send E-Mail from Custom Domain via Mail App

Hello

I setup a custom mail address via the Icloud+ feature that allows me to do so. I can send and receive mails from the online mail app. Though when I try to send a mail via the mail desktop app it can't be sent. Anybody knows what this can be about?

it can't be sent.

Do you get an error message? Does it show it your outbox? What, exactly, happens when you try to send?
