There is a new (with 3.0) "share contact" button on each contact which will Email a .vcf file, which can be opened on the iphone and which then gives you the option to add, or with most email clients

Because I can't send / receive regular business cards. Also, if I'm making a call and I want to pass on a number of a call that's in recents, I can't do it.

Yeah, that's a feature I don't like either. My old cheap (not complaining, I like the iPhone) cell phone had the capability to just send the contact to someone on their cell. Apple assumes we just want to email it. Before, if my wife needed a contact I had on my phone (or vice versa), I could send it to her and she had it. Now, I could email it to her, but she'd still have to type it all in to have it for her phone.

Yeah you can, just tap on the blue arrow thats next to the number in your recent list and it'll give you the option to share the contact that way, either by email or MMS if you have it enabled in your country

You cant tap the blue arrow when your on a call, you have to hang up first.

In the company i work for the standard phone distributed are regular Nokia's.
Imagine Im having a call with a colleague who asks you for a contact, the Nokias just business card between each other. I cant

Also, we have the microphone/voice memo feature but cant use it during a call to record the conversation - I, and i'm sure others would really like this as I take lots of call whilst driving (hands free of course).
