This may be a silly question, but no one that I know is currently running dual sim on iPhone to give me an answer
I understand that if you run the dual sim on iPhone you can choose to send the message by using either the "personal" or "business" profile.
My question is that if you're using a MacBook or iMac for example, will you
1. Still be able to choose the personal or business profile when sending the iMessage or SMS?
2. Will you still be able to receive SMS or iMessage on both profiles using the Mac's messages app?

Thank you in advance

I was looking for the same thing as you. I tested it, as long as you have the contact or number already on your phone set for the Primary or Secondary(Travel, Business, or whatever it is) it will text from that number. So you can leave imessage on the mac set to send new messages from your main number if you wish just make sure both numbers are checked above in you can be reached for messages at. Just remember if you start a new message from your Mac for a contact it will use the primary or secondary number whichever you have it setup for that contact. The only way this will not work is if this is a new number and you don't have them in the phone and defaulted to one of the numbers.

Does this mean you can assign one of the numbers to each contact or group? I am considering getting a second line (for work) and want to make sure it will cover my needs. I don't want to have to choose which number to use each time I send a text/iMessage to a certain contact or ideally contact in a group.
