Sending email question

Hi guys,

I'm sure this can be answered by you experts! I use mobileme for emails on a 3GS 16GB. The question is when I send an email and actually press 'send' if I then go onto the home screen and then click the button on top of the phone to put it on standby will it continue to send the email whilst the phone is on standby or do I need to wait for it to send?

I put my phone on standby and never had a problem.

I just tried it and it works fine.

you can also go to the home screen/stand by for sms / mms
