Not sure if this has been posted but search results (kinda hard to search) have not gotten me anything.

So on my gmail, I can send mail as three different emails addresses, and when I reply to an email, it replies with the email address that the message was sent to. Is there anyway I can enable this feature on my iPhone or do I need to set up all three accounts?

You won't be able to access the feature that you're talking about no matter how many accounts you have set up.

I also have multiple Gmail accounts and they are all set up on my iPhone & iPad. You will not be able to duplicate the action that is allowed on a computer, the choice from a drop-down menu of which account to reply from. You send and receive from the account that you happen to be logged into on the mobile that you're using at the time. If you want to send from another account you have to login to that account and compose the email there. On my computer I have all of my Gmail accounts set up to forward all emails to my main account so that I don't have to check them all every day but don't miss any messages. When I reply to an email on Apple mobiles the reply goes out from my main Gmail account regardless of which of my accounts the original email went to unless I log out of the main account & login to the account which originally received the email. It's a PITA to bother with.

I tried to work around this issue earlier in the week and it's just not possible, AFAIK. I even logged into Gmail using Safari & Atomic Browser; Gmail just doesn't behave the same way as on a computer.

If anyone has figured this out, please share. I gave up until there's a real full-bodied Gmail app that is stable, at which point I'll try again.

UPDATE: It works! Help from Post #6 was the candle in the darkness. Thanks! :)

I have a couple of different email accout (not gmail) on my iPhone and iPad. If I want to use a different one I just tap on my email address and a little menu come up with available emails.

I also have two email accounts set up on my iPhone, and can use either one as the "mail from:" account via a drop-down in the message composition box. One of the two is GMail, however I have GMail set up as a "regular" account (POP), instead of using the GMail app. I am able to send using my GMail address (via GMail's smtp server), or using my other address (via its smtp server). One of the accounts is designated the "default account" and will always be offered as the first choice.

Does clicking the 'From' field do anything on your phone? It should, if everything's set up right.

Unfortunately that is a chore in iOS as you will have to setup each account separately. And in my case gmail checks several other accounts and where I check all email--I don't want those other accounts cluttering up the universal inbox, etc.

So when I need to send from one of my other gmail "reply as" addresses I do it in Safari. You would be surprised how nice gmail is in Safari nowadays. I almost like it better than the Mail app. It will do the auto reply-as thing like you can do in a regular browser.

Oh yea, interestingly my iCloud alias addresses show up in the Mail app. I didn't even remember setting them up but they are all available to send from.

YES!!! Success! :D

The option of "From" when replying to an email was hidden in the line item for "CC" in the same way that initially "BCC" is hidden in the same line item. Touch the line item once and a "BCC" box opens up; touch the "BCC" box and then the "From" scroll box opens. YAY! :)

Many thanks for that lesson in uncovering that which should have been obvious but apparently wasn't to me.
