sending fonts to postscript printer

On MacOS 9 i used Apple Printer Utility to send fonts to the postscript printers.
Is there a program with this function??
Or a function in OSX??

Are you getting error messages? I can't see why you would have to "force" the fonts to the printer. All apps I use when I print automatically send the fonts via the print dialog.
Explain in a little more detail what's going on.

As far as I know, Mac OS X takes care of sending fonts to a PostScript (or any) printer for you - you shouldn't need to do it manually. I searched the Apple Support area and found nothing.

I haven't tried it, but Apple Printing Utility should still work under Classic.

With regards to the other replies, I could be wrong, but the original poster may be requesting this in order to send fonts to be stored directly on the printer, either in RAM or printer hard drive space, so that they don't have to be downloaded every time.

I just thought about that. Most printers come with fonts preinstalled but I have had to download fonts myself that were need by embedded eps files and sometime fonts that the RIP woulndn't recognize. I have a utility at work called "Fetch" (no not the ftp site app) This came with our RIP for Xitron (Navigator NT) It works the same though. I select the fonts I want from a folder and Fetch connects to thr RIP HD then copies the fonts to it and they are stored there. I'm bot sure if it can be aquired separatly, but I'm sure a search may turn up something.
