Am I do something wrong, or is it normal for PDFs or .docs to be so invisible in messages? Surely there should be a preview like there is with images? Just makes sending the things difficult!

Tips?

In the image is my boyfriend asking how he edits a PDF CV. The last message is me sending the .pages document back! Looks silly to me anyway.

Sorry forgot image.

I just did a test for you (below). The "test pages" is a small Pages document and the "test pages PDF" is the same document converted to a PDF. It does not show a preview like Mail does, but it does show the file name.

Just drag the documents into the message window where I marked with an arrow.

Thanks for that.

How come it doesn't work for me like that then? FYI I'm messaging mac->mac and using drag and drop to send the files. I know there is no preview, but I don't even get a file name, just a blank space! Maybe a bug? FWIW if I quite messages and open it again, I do get the file name appearing.....
