sending pictures and texts

is there any app i can download so i can send pictures to other types of cell phones? also, is there an app that will allow me to turn the iphone sideways to type?

Not unless you jailbreak BUT for pictures theres a way to email them as a text message I think its the numbermms@att.net but im not sure. I have used it and it does work great!
