I often send a text to the wrong person because the background and text bubbles all look exactly the same for every person. Am I the only one? Especially if I'm in two or more text conversations at one time it gets especially difficult.

Why, after 15 years of iOS, can we still not change the look of a person's text screen (background, text, bubbles, etc.)? I know that it's my error, but a good UI prevents user errors. Am I the only one? Why does Apple not care about this?

I do like the option to change the background on WhatsApp. Most of my friends use WA and not iMessage; at the moment I only use iMessage for family. And yes, I've occasionally sent a message to the wrong person. Luckily, nothing too embarassing!

I might move them onto WhatsApp too, as it gets confusing when I travel and swap SIMs/numbers as the iMessages and FaceTimes then fail unless they change their contact entry to use my new number, or instead use an email address. And the latter really confuses them - "why am I calling an email? Is this a message I'm sending or an email?" etc.

I've moaned for years about the way iMessage and FaceTime are mixed in with SMSs and actual phone calls, but can also be sent to email addresses. Non-techy people get confused by this, in my experience.

I honestly don't think I've ever done that. The contact photo at the top and, probably more obviously, the context of the other conversation in the window, tells me if I'm in the correct spot or not.

So, not something I would ever need, but if the option was there, I might play with it a bit.

I mean, usually the context keeps me on track, too. But sometimes you're just jumping from one to another and it's easy to lose which window you're in.

Branding. The want everyone to immediately know „oh this person is using iMessage“ and supposedly having the blue bubble or not is kind of a big deal to get mobbed or not at school yards in the US?

however, I agree. Time to finally steal some features besides stickers from WhtsApp!
