Sennheiser PC 320 supposed to work with mac but is not working

So i recently got a sennheiser PC320 to use with my mac for gaming, it says on the website it is compatible with mac but when I play the mic in (audio jack) it does not pick anything up on Skype and other programmes. If anyone has a solution to this i will be very grateful

If you go to Apple Menu>System Preferences>Sound, does it show up there? If it does, single-click (highlight) it, and this will set it as your default device. You'll need to do this for both the Output and Input.

It says line in, the microphone does not work however when i use the built in mic it does, any ideas?

My first suggestion would be to test on a different computer. If it's not working on another computer then it's a hardware fault with the headset and you should contact the manufacturer to get that replaced. Otherwise there's no reason why it shouldn't be working on your Mac.

Another thing to try would be to plug a different microphone into the Line In and see if that works to ensure there's not an issue with the audio jack on your Mac.
