...but not from Steve!

I had an issue which was being bounced around Apple Customer Services and Applecare without resolution, so I sent an email to sjobs@apple.com detailing my exact issue and the problems I was experiencing with the ordinary support channels. I sent this Friday night and received an email on Monday saying Apple had been trying to contact me and left a number for me to get back to them. The person I spoke to was extremely helpful and said Steve had forwarded my email onto him to follow up!

My issue is now resolved and I have received some compensation from them for my troubles (this was offered by them and not asked for by me). It's nice to know that a company will take action to quickly resolve customer complaints.

Sean :)

How many people are going to rape this address now to get problems solved

It's not exactly private. You can find it pretty easily.

I just sent him an emailing telling him to release C2D MBP's before I kick him in the nuts.

(OK, I didnt really, if I cant be arsed to drive to sheffield to smack someone round the head I really cant be arsed to go to the US to kick someone in the nuts)

So if the address has been widely known for the last couple of years, and more so now, are we really to believe that Steve sits and reads every email? It's a lovely thought but surely even he needs to sleep!

Anyhow, it's now in my address book ;)

does it really matter if he doesnt read them personally, and if he has an assistant do it? The assistant would do everything in a way that would be Steve's liking.

so... see the results here. Very glad you got a positive response.

For me, most successful companies are reactive to customers negative opinions when properly made to their attention nicely.

God, give it time. Patience is a virtue. I remember the days that Apple wouldn't update processors as fast as they do now and no one complained about the wait.

I assumed you signed the agreement that said you are to keep your mouth shut about the whole affair?

Nope, they were very open with me and very apologetic for the experience.

That's interesting. I had a similar situation and has to sign an agreement not to talk about the "compensationi" I received.

You mean your Quad G5? That's it isn't it? The Quad G5 they gave you? iGary? Was it the Quad? It's the Quad right?

Yeah, it's the Quad. Plus the RAM, and the video card.... and that photo of Steve at the beach.
