Hi,

Hope someone can help me. I am fairly new to the iMac so am not sure how to proceed with this.

Recently in the last 2 weeks when I send an email I no longer get the “sent, whooshing sound” at first I didn't mind this, but then I noticed that If I was replying to an email the little sent arrow no longer appeared and more disturbing there is no record in the sent folder of my email having been sent. The emails are being delivered, but there is no record of them in the sent folder.
I have tried shutting down and re booting but none of this has made any difference, can anyone offer any help.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

...so if you log into your email account online, you DO see Sent Item content?
Also, I'm guessing you're talking about the Mail client on iMac, versus a client like Outlook, right?

Hi thanks for getting back to me.
Firstly it is the Mail client on iMac.
When I login on line I see no new or recent sent items. I have a couple of email addresses and it is the same with each of them. To check if the emails were going I sent emails to each of my email addresses and I received all of them but there was nothing in their Sent folders to say that they were sent.

[doublepost=1463948693][/doublepost]Yes, I have checked "Store sent messages on the server" and it was already checked, for all my accounts.

I have also run software updates for OS X and so far I still have not been able to figure out what has happened.
