So I sent in my 10 month old MBP in for repair for multiple problems including the infamous whine and there were some whiteish spots appearing on the display. When I received the laptop back the whine still existed but most importantly it had a glossy screen.
So I took it back to the apple store and the genius bar guy claimed that it was in fact a matte screen. There is no way this is possible, the screen on my replacement is not the same as my original laptop. The guy did take the laptop and say he would ship it back to the repair center but that they would probably just send me back the same replacement laptop.
So my question is, am I being screwed by apple or has the definition of what a matte screen is changed in the last 10 months?
