Separation alert notification on Apple Watch

Hi,

Wondering if someone can confirm if this is a problem or not.

Current config:
iOS 15 b6
iPadOS 15 b6
Apple Watch 7.6.1 (not updated to beta)

Separation alerts for my devices / Air Tags works great, the only problem I find is that the notification alert is not coming up on my Apple Watch, only on my iPhone and iPad. Is this because my Apple Watch is not on OS 8? I'm hoping thats the case, but would love if someone can confirm?

The watch has to be on WatchOS 8 yes.
