Hi folks!

I´ve been suffering these late days one of the weirdest bug I´ve seen in a long time. As you can see in the clip I´ve attached, sometimes when I hit any icon in the upper right area (where Control Center is) the Finder icon down in the dock stays highlighted until I hit something else. This seems to be "activated" when I previously hit my personal folder at the right of the dock, when you can see that for a brief moment the Finder icon in the dock gets highlighted too.

The only way to get rid of this "Finder icon highlight" is to hit somewhere else that is not the Control Center area, as seen in the clip.

Ok, I suspect that it has something to do somehow with the framerate of the MacBook screen itself (MBP M4), because when I screenrecord, as it doesnt record at 120Hz, some things are missing compared to what I see live (for example, in the clip the second time i hit my personal folder icon in the dock the brief Finder icon highlight doesnt show, but I could see it when I was recording it).

Another weird thing is that this seemed to happen all the times (screenrecorded it in several different times) until I hit the upper left Apple icon, and right now I can´t reproduce the glitch/bug.

Interestingly enough, I wasn´t able to reproduce the problem at all with my Admin account.

I know macOS has several "bugs" related to 120Hz framerate and Screenrecord. For example, when I screenrecord the mouse cursor doesnt change shape even when I hover links, or go to the border of a window to resize or anything else: the icon just doesnt change. For what I´ve read in the forum, this has been a bug for years and Apple hasnt fixed it.

But still, this problem I´m talking about also happens when I´m not screenrecording; screenrecording seems to slightly "change" its behavior, but the bug is there.

Of course I believe it is a bug/glitch, but I am running paranoid lately for another reasons and would like to know anyone´s thoughts, to discard it can be related to some kind of attack.

Thing is, I clean reinstalled macOS a week ago with an installer downloaded directly from swcdn.apple.com (https://swcdn.apple.com/content/dow...tjgfr3dqsh046dx4ti2h7w2s/InstallAssistant.pkg) from MrMacintosh website, because (yeah I´m talking to you Apple) official download from Mac App Store is a complete disaster (takes many hours to download, if not days, every-single-time). From swcdn.apple.com it downloads like a charm. I couldnt find anywhere to check if the installer checksum was legit, but I guess it is because swcdn.apple.com is officially Apple and if it was not legit Apple wouldn´t have let me install it (through valid certificates etc). Previously to that, within Sequoia 15.1.1 I never noticed this "bug" we´re talking about.

Any observations and threads will be much appreciated!

PD: System is clean install apart from the few apps that can be seen in the dock, which were downloaded from the Mac App Store and I guess shouldnt be the reason of any of this bugs/glitches.
