Hi guys,

I just bought the SS black Milanese loop series 2 and am a little nervous to take it in the pool/ocean with me. Technology and water just don't go well and I don't want to ruin a $700 watch.

Has anyone tried swimming with their watch yet or take a shower with it? Any problems?

Thanks!!!

The Apple Watch 2 was designed to get wet and is 50 Meter Water resistant. It can be used specifically for swimming. Your not Going to ruin it, based off what's it's capable of.

Agreed. Jump in!

I had mine in the pool three times in the first week. It counts laps, measures my heartbeat and records calories burnt.

It's also been in the shower half a dozen times. It's the watch I've been waiting for! :)

Maybe use a sport band vs. Milanese loop.

Laugh, that was me at first. When I finally decided to take it into the pool, when I first jumped in, I actually kept my arm above my head and out of the water. But now I'm pretty comfortable with it.

Can't say I've found the ideal app yet for my workouts. Apple's workout is pretty good as far as measuring time, distance, but not much more. swim.com has an app that supposed to be able to recognize different strokes, but have had no success getting it to identify the breaststroke and it's pretty iffy with backstroke. And any kicking drills won't register at all, except as rest time.

Just downloaded MySwimPro, but haven't found it useful yet.

Speedo has speedo fit, but it seems pretty basic.

For sure, the sales associate at the store said millanese loop is not the best for water

Thank you! This helped a lot. That will totally be me in the beginning also. haha will keep you posted on how it goes. App's will be fun to try out

If damaged while swimming I presume that's considered a normal failure and not accidental damage.

Just baptized my new S2 SS with a four-hour surf session today...couple of high-speed wipeouts and it survived like a champ. :)

I've had my series 2 for a couple weeks. I freestyle swim a mile a day, and 2 miles on Saturdays in a 25 yard lap pool. So far so good!
