Hi all!

I’m very perplexed by the sudden behavior of my cellular series 5 watch. Suddenly two days ago it stopped charging while on the charger. I tried 3 different charger and cable combinations with the same result on all of them(have also checked that the backside of the watch and the charger pucks are clean). I have also rebooted the watch, made a hard reset and even erased it and recovered it from backup.

The watch recognized that it‘s on a charger every time I place it on one.

After the last step I left it on the charger for several hours and suddenly it started charging ??‍♂️. For about a day it seemed to work but then it stopped charging again and only seeming to start doing it after a while on the charger. I have not changed ANY settlings recently so having optimized charging on or off shouldn’t matter. And it doesn’t. Have also tried changing that setting with no result.

I’ve googled around to see if I could find other threads about a similar problem but to no avail.

Have anyone else here experienced a similar thing?

Any suggestions on what to do besides turning it in to the certified Apple Service Provider in my country(no Apple stores in Denmark)??

if you're on watchos7, go to settings and check the health of the battery, there's a potential issue ...my S4 after 2 1/4 years is at 89% but you never know

Capacity for mine is 89% as well. So not perfect but shouldn't in any way be a problem. Especially with charging.

don't have any other suggestions than to contact apple ... not sure from your original post if you have apple care but I would still contact them via chat ...
