:( Can anyone tell me what to do when the drivers disc won't install in windows? After many hours uninstalling and reinstalling osx I finally got bootcamp to work. I even got windows to install but the mac driver disc just fails dismally.
I get a message saying "the software does not support your hardware"
It then says the wizard was interupted before the drivers could be completely installed!

I also don't know how to get back to osx now! Sorry if I sould dim but this is my first mac and I've only had it 3 days.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All firmware updates done too.

Have managed to get back into osx but the driver disc is still not working

Thats odd. Maybe the drive disk didn't burn ok. It happened to me. Just goto applications/utillities/bootcamp then once opened choose the option to create a drive disk. Once burned, boot back into windows and try again.

Good luck!

Correct me if I'm wrong but installing windows on a Mac Pro is tough going considering windows is hard to recognize the new memory, cpu etc.

Your wrong. The new cpu or memory will not be an issue, the only issue might be the new sata controllers, which if they haven't been addressed already it should be shortly.

Havent people clocked on to the fact that the Mac Pro & Windows XP via bootcamp is not a real practical solution right now.

Patience is a virtue, give it a week or two and i'm sure Apple will release a new version of bootcamp with improved driver support for the mac pro....
