i am seriously thinking of selling 3gs on ebay and getting unlocked nexus one, as there is no jb/unlock of 3.1.3.....

i had iphone for just a month and feeling it is too restricted and controlled by apple...

should i wait for the unlock of 3.1.3 or just get rid on ebay while it is unlocked and on 3.1.2 as it might have more value then one with 3.1.3 :confused::confused::confused:

How are you on 3.1.3 already? Did you accidentally upgrade?
 
Do whatever makes you happy.
Noone is forcing you to upgrade to 3.1.3 if you dont want to and there is nothing that you're missing out on that 3.1.2 doesnt have.
You should have known thats how the JB game plays for years now.

no i didnt upgrade, but i am worried if i have to restore if there are any issues with the phone and i will not be able to jb/unlock and use with tmo.....
 
Just hang on to it and if it takes a dump and needs a restore just sell it I guess. Don't know if there's going to be another unlock soon.

i will wait some more for the jb/unlock to be available on 3.1.3... i hope that happens soon... i dont have any need for 3.1.3 but i am just shuddering the thought of having to restore....
 
Do It!

I just did it and will never go back to the current model iPhone, I will wait to see what 4.0 will bring, I never thought i would leave the iphone but the nexus one is pretty amazing and much faster then the iPhone.

PS got 550.00 for my white 16G unlocked iPhone on ebay.

i had to restore once after i did jb and downloaded some stupid game, and then it got stuck on apple logo and had to restore...

as a precaution, i am not gonna download any news apps from app store or cydia till there is confirmed working jb/unlock available.
 
Don't buy an N1, they're not compatible with AT&T's 3G at the moment and AT&T is due to release it's own brand of android phones sometime, supposively, in the first half of the year. Second, if you end up not liking the N1, you can return it but it'll cost quite a bit to do that. If you don't like an AT&T phone....well, last time I returned one to AT&T it cost me nothing. Yeah, Apple pretty much sucks but Google really isn't any better. I'd put up with what you have until something with better terms comes along.

OP is on T-mobile and concerned with unlocking
 
Nexus one is quite the phone... makes me a little jealous that I have a droid. Makes the iPhone look like a childrens toy (minus the app store).

Apple will put out a great next generation iPhone. Why do you think they waited on inovation with the 3Gs? That thing wasnt a step forward at all, it was a time saver. Next iPhone will be ridiculous.
