Started this job a few weeks ago.
I am going to redo the entire server room. It was a disaster. I have removed a lot of old documentation and cds, some dating back to os8.
Thought I would start this thread as a sort of journal of the work. This way everyone else can be entertained by my hours of work.
I started off with a day of throwing things out. It took all day and the place still doesn't look clean.
So here is the beginning of things. The new xserve and proliant rackmount servers were just hanging out on top of desks. I didn't like that idea and it was a huge waste of space so ordered this and built it.
(Sorry for the quality but most of the pictures will be taken with an iPhone)
Next set of shots are sort of 180 look around the small room. (Turning right or clockwise around the room)
Until the xRaid comes along (I know there is no more xRaid but I am looking for an equivalent) we are using this for data storage connected to the xServe.
The setup is 2 TB in each Mirroring.
That is all for now. I will post updates as the work gets done.
